1st Video Feedback

I feel that the idea is not coming across clearly. I will need to improve my story telling very reinforce by the visuals.

Feedback

Legend: TO DO   DONE

  • Use voice over instead of Text. If I'll use text short sentences or Key words.
  • Consider other options rather to blur the video.
  • Remember to refer Back to Money and use Energy Points into the voice over.
  • I need to make the music more in tune with the pace of the video.

  • Show iPad and posible an Android.
  • Check scale between size of the sensor, phone and tablet.
  • Increase the pace when mobile comes in.
  • Design Kiot as a logo with a trade mark (http://www.ipo.gov.uk/types/tm/t-manage/t-enforce.htm), use a strong type for the name.
  • Include npower logo in Kiot.
  • Consider to use the phone facing forward and central.

  • Delete table (bottom) phone can be floating.
  • Use the word Home instead of House.
  • Consider to use the phone facing forward and central.

  • I need to change from here to show better how the system works...
  • Show that the system is learning. Nest used Day 1 Day 2 Day 7
  • I can use the App static in the middle and passing through the process, the slides would be moving to one side. Show the information come in and out.
  • Receive info from npower related with Energy Plans and Average of energy usage in similar properties.
  • I can move the phone down so the data can be seen on the Top coming in. Or showing how a picture of a house is built as Third party data is entering the system.
  • Delete Land registry
  • First, enter house number, upload Location to generate postcode. With postcode download from zoopla House information (Complete Address, No. bathrooms, No bedrooms, No. floors, No receptions, Property Type, Floor Plan and Picture), weather from Met Office and Usage, Tips and Energy Plans from npower.  I need to show that weather affect energy.

  • Consider to use the phone facing forward and central.

  • Learn about the appliances, doors, windows and routines Mapping the room.

  • The sensor capture the routine and communicate with App. App register activity by day and time and smart meter confirm energy consumption (Monday 9:00pm 380kW). Consider to start showing the conversion in points now.

  • Now it need too be that the App would start to work collecting all the information to estimate how much energy are you going to use in a particular day and transfer this amount on Points or consider that the Points are already calculate.  The App would know about energy usage average by activities that are done that day and weather conditions.
  • Then the App would set up a Target of points for that day considering change some behaviour towards save energy.
  • The App will prompt challenges (from low effort to high effort) relate with activities expected to be done. For example, on one day the App would aim the dishes so just before the App will prompt a challenge to change a behaviour from running tap water to use a bucket.  If the user accept the challenge the sensor would monitor that the behaviour was change, if not would prompt a notification. Washing day would prompt a challenge with the best window to dry the clothes.
  • Show about how the point are calculated (visually).
  • First show how the challenges work and then examples.  Be consistent when talk about points.

  • It is not clear how the sensor work.  I would think if the sensor is even necessary, in a house with appliances that work with IOT (Internet Of Things) the sensor is not necessary.
  • The change of battery can be costly, however the future is about gadgets.
